Celebrating the 2025 KLAS Arch Collaborative Award Winners

Get a glimpse of how we celebrated the 2025 winners of the KLAS Arch Collaborative Pinnacle award and Breakthrough Recognition winners.

At the second annual KLAS Arch Collaborative Learning Summit awards show, we had the privilege of celebrating healthcare organizations that are making meaningful, measurable strides in improving the EHR experience for clinicians. These organizations are leading the way in transforming a once-frustrating part of healthcare into an area of opportunity, collaboration, and growth.

It takes a lot of work for Arch Collaborative organizations to make it to this point. Read on for a glimpse of our celebration and to see the full list of winners.

A Night to Celebrate Progress

Jason Hess, VP of Engagement at KLAS, shared that the Arch Collaborative has grown into a powerful global movement. Since its founding in 2017, over 175 healthcare organizations and 32 vendor partners have joined forces, measuring clinician EHR experience, learning from one another, and improving together. Jason noted:

“This initiative we started in 2017 is more energized and continuing to grow and have an impact than ever before.”

He also shared a personal reflection from his son-in-law’s white coat ceremony—an emotional reminder of how the work we do today can shape the futures of tomorrow’s clinicians. The challenge is clear: as we face a projected staffing shortage, the clinician experience, especially the EHR experience, must improve if we’re to retain and support the next generation of caregivers.

Jason pointed out, “Our winners tonight are living proof that the EHR experience can change for the better, and that organizations themselves can implement the changes that make the difference.”

Recognizing Impact: The 2025 Award Categories

Steve Low, KLAS President, presented the awards to all who could be in attendance. He also emphasized during the awards presentation: “These awards aren’t about competition—they’re about progress. They’re about showing what’s possible when organizations commit to listening, learning, and improving.”

That becomes clearer when you understand what it takes to earn this recognition as an organization. The Arch Collaborative Awards highlight two distinct types of achievement:

EHR Experience Pinnacle Award

A landmark award that recognizes organizations that have reached exceptional Net EHR Experience Scores (NEES):

  • 75.0+ for nurses
  • 60.0+ for physicians

These scores are not easy to achieve. The NEES metric subtracts detractor scores from promoter scores, meaning it takes more than consensus; it takes real excellence.

EHR Experience Breakthrough Recognition

Honors organizations that have improved their NEES by 15+ points since their previous measurement—proof that significant improvement is possible and already happening across the Collaborative.

These awards are a celebration of intentional change.

A Moment for Recognition

Continuing the Climb: Progress over Perfection

At the end of the day, these awards are about recognizing the grit, collaboration, and perseverance it takes to improve something as complex as the clinician EHR experience. Many winners have improved by leveraging best practices from others in the Arch Collaborative.

We will continue to give these awards annually. I love how they provide mile markers on the journey of improvement and inspire others to stay the course. To all awardees—and all those on the path to improvement—thank you for being part of this movement to make the work of clinicians easier around the globe. You are the heartbeat of what makes the Arch Collaborative special.
