Adam Cherrington and Dan Czech are joined by Dr. Kikelomo “Dr. Dayo” Belizaire Chief Medical Officer at Pegasystems Inc. to discuss Health Equity and improving Patient Outcomes.
Dr. Dayo discusses her experience at Pegasystems and the work to improve patient outcomes by examining inequities and disparities throughout the healthcare system. They work to determine how to solve these challenging issues including leveraging AI powered software to address patient needs. Through the experience of having to be a patient advocate for her father, Dr. Dayo was confronted first-hand with the shortcomings of the American medical system.
COVID uncovered so many inequities in healthcare. There is a need for all stakeholders to be at the table to discuss and collaborate on shared goals to fix inequality issues. The need is to confront issues and provide solutions for patients.
