Episode 9: Bob Keiserman, Volunteer Executive Director for the Power of the Patient Project

With his students, retired professor Bob created the Power of the Patient Project, one of the few libraries devoted solely to patient rights to help patients be active partners in their care.

Bob is a retired professor of healthcare administration and medical ethics. Prior to retirement, Bob worked with students to create an organization called the Power of the Patient Project, one of the only digital libraries devoted exclusively to education and information on patient rights. Bob saw firsthand how patients were at the whim of their doctors. At its core, the Power of the Patient Project is about educating patients on their rights so they can be more educated consumers of healthcare.
