Congratulations to This Year’s Winners

To the companies recognized this year, congratulations! Earning a Top 20 spot requires more than a good story; it means inviting candid customer feedback and allowing that voice to be published for the industry’s benefit. That willingness is a meaningful signal of seriousness and transparency, and it deserves recognition.

How KLAS Selects Top 20 Winners

We’re here to validate what’s real, document what’s working, and get those insights into provider hands quickly.

Each time we publish this list, we ask an experienced panel of industry peers—CIOs, CFOs, directors, and other decision-makers—to review the Emerging Company Spotlight reports done over the past 12 months. These experts weigh in through the lens of the Quadruple Aim.

From there, we spotlight the top five solutions in each domain, creating an at-a-glance starting point for leaders who don’t have time to wade through dozens of individual reports. This gives providers a practical, vetted short list by outcome area and recognizes innovators who are willing to be measured and learn from their feedback.

How to Use the Top 20 Report and Thank You to the Board

The awards and the stories behind our winners are the headlines, but the back half of the report is equally valuable: a collection of contributed essays from respected leaders tackling topics like AI, policy, and interoperability with tangible, adaptable advice.

Many contributors return year after year to help us select winners and to give us their insights, and we’re grateful for the continuity and depth that they bring to our research. Thank you to the following people for their participation in all four years of the Top 20:

  • Charles E. Christian, LFCHIME, LFHIMSS, CHCIO, CDH-E, VP Technology and CTO at Franciscan Health
  • Donna M. Roach, MS and CIO at University of Utah Health
  • Mark Weisman CIO and CMIO at TidalHealth
  • J.D. Whitlock, CIO at Dayton Children’s Hospital

For busy executives and healthcare leaders, these essays can translate into ideas that they can adapt for their organizations.

So when you check out the list of the Top 20, look at them through the lens of your most pressing problems and use the company pages to understand where some of these early adopters are seeing results. And then I recommend reading through all the essays to see where you can also innovate for your organization.

The Bottom Line

This year’s Emerging Solutions Top 20 confirms what we’ve seen across the industry. Meaningful innovation is happening, even in challenging operating conditions, and leaders are finding practical ways to deploy it. To see how it can be helpful to you, I invite you to explore the full report

I’ll end with a note to all providers out there. KLAS publishes Emerging Solutions research year-round (you can learn more on my previous blog), so if you don’t see a company or solution featured, tell us what you need measured next. Know that your warm introductions to new companies are the best way to get these innovators to measure.
