HIMSS25: A Night to Remember
Hal Wolf, president and CEO of HIMSS, graciously kicked off the evening and introduced our hosts, Chuck Christian and Donna Roach, longtime provider friends of KLAS, along with Chris Walker, who introduced the payer awards. Their presence signified KLAS’ focus on representing provider and payer voices and showed that these awards are deserved because they are directly based on customers’ experiences.
Each of our hosts brought warmth, enthusiasm, and good humor to create an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance. The atmosphere was electric as we celebrated the outstanding achievements of our winners with 680 attendees.
Highlights from Keynotes
Our hosts played double duty as each gave a keynote address centered around excellence. Donna Roach emphasized the importance of aligning efforts and listening to customers, stating, “It’s about more than just technology; it’s about the people we serve and the professionals who dedicate their lives to caring for them. By aligning our efforts, listening to your customers, and continuously striving to meet and exceed expectations, we can create a healthcare environment where both patients and clinicians thrive.”
Chris Walker challenged attendees to proactively seek out ways to improve customer experiences, saying, “I realize that in this room, I’m preaching to the choir a bit when it comes to excellence, but I want to challenge you—think about your roles and see where you can make something better for your customers. Proactively reach out and look at the data to find pain points, the problems, or even nice-to-haves and accept nothing nearly right or good enough.”
Chuck Christian shared his winning formula for building a successful team, highlighting the importance of leadership and accountability: “Ultimately, excellence in leadership is about coaching your team to success. You need to foster an environment where people understand their value, contribute to a shared vision, and are held accountable for their performance. When you put the right elements together, you create a team that’s not just capable of success but poised to exceed expectations.”
ViVE 2025: Recognizing Innovation and Improvement
ViVE 2025 in Nashville was equally inspiring as we celebrated the achievements of our Overall Best in KLAS and Most Improved award winners in a special ceremony. These awards recognize not only excellence but also the significant strides organizations have made in improving their services and solutions. It was a proud moment for us to acknowledge their hard work and dedication.
KLAS was also excited to partner with CHIME to present the inaugural Trailblazer award during the ceremony. The award went to Abridge for their outstanding contributions to healthcare innovation. This new award highlights the groundbreaking work being done in our industry and sets a high bar for future innovators.
