How High-Performing Organizations Improve the EHR Experience: Arch Collaborative Q3 Case Studies

Arch Collaborative case studies gather the stories of the most successful organizations, sharing powerful examples for similar organizations.

The KLAS Arch Collaborative survey reveals a lot about what is working with the EHR experience at an organization and what is not. Using this valuable feedback from their clinicians, many organizations then tackle their challenges in creative, data-backed ways. Every month, KLAS publishes cases studies with these successful organizations that showcase how they have improved the EHR experience.

Arch Collaborative case studies gather the stories of the most successful organizations and share powerful examples that can be replicated at similar organizations. Read more below about the stories published over the last quarter. Each summary describes the challenge discovered and one or two of the outcomes the organization saw.

July Case Studies

1. Unlocking Clinical Data Intelligence with AI 2025

University of Iowa Health Care saw in their feedback that providers were having major challenges navigating fragmented external patient data and that internal data was hard to sift through. To solve this issue, they partnered with Evidently to boost clinician access to both internal and external data.

The result? University of Iowa Health Care saw a 24% increase in clinician agreement that the EHR has the needed external integration, among other outcomes.

2. Transforming Onboarding, Go-Live, & Ongoing Training 2025

With a large footprint and continuing growth, Ochsner Health System recognized that they needed a web-based EHR training model. But in their 2020 Arch Collaborative EHR Experience Survey, just 17% of Ochsner Health System’s providers said that they felt proficient.

With that feedback, their leadership turned to Amplifire’s e-learning platform. With this solution, they worked to enhance onboarding, go-live, and ongoing EHR education across their expanded locations. Today, providers using Amplifire’s system are in the ninetieth percentile for agreement that their ongoing EHR education is effective (benchmarked against all organizations in the Arch Collaborative).

August Case Studies

2. Improving Ongoing Provider EHR Education by Aligning Incentives 2025

In ther 2023 Arch Collaborative survey, Inova Health System saw that their most satisfied providers were those who participated in yearly EHR education. This presented a big opportunity to help improve the situation for others.

So the organization created an incentive program to encourage providers to participate in advanced ongoing EHR education. Their next survey found that their providers had improved by 29% in their agreement that ongoing training was helpful and effective.

3. Creating Role-Based EHR Training & Providing Structured but Flexible Support 2025
